Originally founded in 1990 as the training organisation of Bonnfinanz AG, this is the first step on the way to Bonner Akademie becoming one of the leading full-service training providers in Germany and, increasingly, on the international stage.

In 1998 the profit centre IT and Management Training at Bonndata GmbH is integrated into the company.

The incorporation of the training management and personnel development functions of the Deutscher Herold Group in 2000 sees our competences and reach in the field of education and training enhanced and expanded even further. This is yet another milestone on the journey to becoming one of Germany’s leading further and specialist training providers. 

Bonner Akademie’s success story continues in 2002. The company becomes training provider for the entire Zurich Group Germany. Today this incorporates a series of life and general insurance companies as well as sales and service providing companies, including Bonner Akademie GmbH. Zurich Group Germany belongs to the parent company Zurich Financial Services (ZFS), headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland. 

In 2003 the scope of Bonner Akademie’s activities is extended yet again to incorporate the training departments of the Zurich Group’s sales organisations as well as the personnel development function for the Zurich Group as a whole.
